Purpose of Peer Review

Peer review serves the following objectives:

  • To validate the quality, originality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts
  • To guide editors in making well-informed publication decisions
  • To help authors improve their manuscripts through expert feedback

📑 Overview of the Peer Review Workflow

Step 1: Submission by Author
The author submits the manuscript via email to 📧editorkyupeerref@gmail.com

Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or editorial board reviews the submission for:

  • Scope relevance
  • Compliance with journal guidelines
  • Plagiarism and formatting standards

Manuscripts not meeting basic criteria may be rejected at this stage.

Step 3: Assignment to Reviewers
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to 2 or more independent reviewers based on subject expertise. Reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

Step 4: Reviewer Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and significance
  • Methodological soundness
  • Quality of data and analysis
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Ethical compliance

Each reviewer provides one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision

Step 5: Editorial Decision
The editor consolidates reviewers’ feedback and makes a decision. The outcome is communicated to the corresponding author via email along with reviewer comments.

Step 6: Author Revision (if applicable)
Depending on the decision:

  • Minor Revisions – Author updates and resubmits the manuscript for final approval.
  • Major Revisions – Author revises and resubmits; the updated manuscript undergoes another round of peer review.
  • Revise & Resubmit as New – Substantial revisions are requested; the revised work may be treated as a new submission.

Step 7: Final Acceptance and Publication
Once approved, the author submits the final manuscript, copyright form, and publication fee details. The manuscript is processed for publication in the next scheduled issue.
